What is  project: aegis?

"Nine people find themselves recruited by the Greek Gods to change who will rule Mount Olympus. Through their trials they learn they were once heroes of legend, and must now prove themselves again. A Greek and Roman mythology inspired action comic with plenty of LGBTQA+ love and characters of color, the story is presented in a comic-prose style, using action-packed art alongside engaging prose to keep you close to the characters’ thoughts, hopes, and fears."

Project: AEGIS is drawn by Asia (now known as Owen) Dye and co-written with Ve'Amber D. Miller. Both have been best friends with each other for 20+ years and have been partners for seven. Also on their team, the hermit Zachary Dixon, takes part as their official editor.

 the CHARACTERS

owen  haag

Owen Haag comes off as a bit shy, but gets particularly passionate about fighting (honorably, of course). He takes up boxing classes after attending a fight club. Despite hardships, Owen often has a positive outlook on life and is someone who forgives easily. Owen was born and raised in L.A., is nineteen years old, and loves baseball and cats.

BALE AKRON 

Bale Akron may be taller than your boyfriend, but honestly he's just a big ole' teddy bear. June, his beautiful wife and number one priority, often attests to this. His garden, good food, and his friends are also essential staples in his life...in that order. While not likely to pick a fight, you can always bet on him to finish one.

GENEVIEVE FANG

It's hard being a young, successful action movie star, but Gen makes it look easy. She prides herself on her independence and relies on very few people. Even though she tries to come off cool and collected, she often finds herself fumbling in social situations especially with the ones she cares most about.

MARCUS HIROTAKA

For "Marcus Hirotaka", shades, a leather jacket, and his tattoos are essential to his look. His default demeanor is cool, but he is easily riled up about manly things like fighting, blood and friendship. His priority is to push people to their limits because he knows from experience that the best parts of people can come out of the adrenaline pumped
moments of life. 

ADRIAN CONNOR 

Adrian helps out at the boxing gym as a medic and physical therapist. He always seem to shine, but don't mistake that smile for fragility. ​He's straightforward, honest, and has the ability to incapacitate just as much as he can heal.

JEFF SANTOS

Jeff is Bale's self-proclaimed best friend, whether the big guy agrees or not. He's got a heart of gold, a smile as wide as a mile, and a punch that feels like a soft pillow. But don't underestimate him, Jeff's got a whole lot of potential, he's optimistic, and he's fast on his feet!

JUNE AKRON 

June is a go-getter and thinks the best type of project is one that's done. The second best? The one that's in progress. That's why she's a successful writer and cat mom. Oh, and also, she's married to Bale who is very lucky to have her.
